My husband recently told me that I use a lot of words, what I heard was “you should write a blog for our TreeHugger company.”

It sounded like an invitation, so that was that and here we are.

I am the wife, the mother and am myself a shameless TreeHugger at heart. I make no apologies for my love of bees, birds, butterflies, and trees. We need them and they need us.

Our TreeHugger family does our best to keep the trees we get to work with in tip-top shape for the many years of service they provide to our world. We believe strongly that we should not take the life of a tree or any of her inhabitants lightly and we work to help her stay strong and full of life as she bends in the winds in all of the seasons that our midwest weather has to throw at her.

Yes, make note that I will always refer a tree as “her” it’s just a Dawna thing.

Joyce Kilmer put it beautifully when she wrote, that they shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree.

And we agree.

I look foreward to sharing about the wonderful life of a TreeHugger family as we continue to do our best to live a little life that makes a big impact.
