A good day.

“Whoever has learned how to listen to trees no longer wants to be a tree. He wants to be nothing except what he is. That is home. That is happiness.”

― Herman Hesse

Much in our world seems unstable right now and as we fight to find some normalcy we are reminded that our vision of stability is often overestimated.

Trust, is the one thing we have a choice in and I have recently had the gift of watching our son be a living example of this great life lesson. As he gears up with all the best equipment that money can buy, he has no choice but to trust that at this moment he will not fail and if he does he will be able to handle that situation at hand. Trust…is one of life’s most difficult lessons and worthy of the hard heart moments it takes to build it.

We are trusting that God is not absent from the suffering of this world, we are trusting that He is present and fully in control.

He is trustworthy.
